BUMPER EDITION PROPOSED :

A SUPER 125TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION WEEBLETHER is proposed for 2012 - ideas are welcome from all our members as we are hoping this edition will be a special edition covering events and stories from throughout our history.

This is your chance to contribute to this edition or make suggestions as to what it should contain. Any photographs are most welcome.

We also need help with funding, so if you know of any local companies who would like to make a donation, please persuade them to send their cheques to Veronica Farquhar as soon as possible.  Advertising space is always flexible and negotiable, but as an example, an eighth page (A4) colour advert (maybe bigger depending on demand and space available) we would expect a donation of £100.  This would also get an advert of similar size on this website and a mention as being one of our partners, so the actual circulation would far exceed the membership.  Quite reasonable, I am sure you will agree !
Any further information, please contact the Secretary.

CRUISE A LA CARTE  -  Friday June 3rd -  Pride of Canterbury 1620 hrs sailing.

A group of 35 members and guests enjoyed the annual cruise led and organised by Society President

Neil Farquhar.  Treated to a lavish champagne reception orange juice and whisky tasting and Scottish

Food Fayre arranged by P&O officer and Society member William Lang.  This was followed by an excellent meal in the Waiter Service of Langans Brasserie Restaurant where young Amy Raysbrook, a grandaughter of our Society's second longest serving member, Margaret Becks, was a very efficient and friendly waitress.

P&O looke after us very well. On arrival back at Dover, a rousing chorus of "We're no awa' tae bide awa'" echoed through the restaurant.
